We have planned our 2nd Youth Weekend Ski Retreat. This will be a fun filled weekend on the 10th—11th of February with other teens from the Michiana area. Our Theme is Making a Difference. We are combining teens from several different area Churches to make this a great experience. Our two Main Events will include games, a great worship band, exciting videos and great talks by Bob Morton.
(Bring your camera!!!)
Bob Morton is currently a Resident Director at Bethel College and a former Notre Dame Football Player (2002-2006). Bob has worked with many youth through Bethel & is gifted speaker. Bob has also worked with and speaks at youth camps retreats and was the main speaker at S.O.S. 2011. Be ready to have a great time and grow in your faith as Bob challenges you with powerful messages of making a difference, hope, love and laughter.
Most of the day Saturday will be spent on the snowy slopes of Swiss Valley. That evening we will be relaxed with hot cocoa, indoor games and fun times with friends. Please contact your youth leader if you would like to go to this amazing winter retreat experience.
If you do not belong to a youth group or have a home church you and your friends are welcome. Download the retreat flier and have your parents fill out and sign. Drop off the form at OUMC office and we will have a place for you and your friends
Please let me know by January 28th so we can let the churches preparing food know.
The cost per student will be $40 for the entire weekend. This includes, transportation, lodging, program, meals at the church and at the ski lodge. It also includes ski rental and lift ticket. (Tubing included in this price.) To rent a snow board please add $10. If a student does not want to ski or go tubing the cost for the retreat is FREE. Please make checks out to your home church. If you want to know more or have any questions contact myself at dkdewitt@sbglobal.net or Laura at L15eg@aol.com.
