Children's Ministry

Dear Church Family,

 

February is here and its always a month for me that seems blah. What to do, spring not close enough, the excitement of the holidays is well past us, what to do, what to do.  Well here’s an idea, come out and support Children’s Ministries on February 25 for trivia night.  The fun will begin at 6pm in the fellowship hall which will also include a silent auction.  If you’d like to contribute to the silent auction with something, please contact me by February 15.  More information about trivia night will be coming in the next few weeks, you can also contact the church for information on this event as well.  Children’s Ministries will be using the funds raised from the trivia night to supporting the children’s bible bucks party in April which as you know is an exciting event for the kids.

 

Another very important piece of information to share with you is something I’m sure you aren’t even thinking about in February.  Its time to think about CAMP. I know you are probably asking why think about camp in February, well let me tell you.  If you are sending your kids to camp we need to sign up for camp scholarships then sign up for camp.  Last year we sent around 20 kids from our church to camp and 95% of them received scholarship funds to attend camp.  

 

The cost of camp for Camp Lakewood for elementary school kids (3rd-5th grade) and Camp Adventure for Middle school (6th-8th grade) is $398 as long as you are signed up before April 16, 2012.  I’m the camp coordinator for our church so if you need help signing up for camp please let me help you.  I will help you fill out the forms for scholarships then help sign up for camp.  However if you want to sign up on your own that’s fine too, just to to www.beacamper.com and you will be on the IMPACT 2818 Outdoor Ministries camp website.  

 

Again, please feel free to contact me for help signing your kids up for one of the many camps offered.  Camp Lakewood will be July 8-13 this year, and Camp Adventure will be July 22-27.
