“Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need help.– Isaiah 58:7

The Osceola United Methodist Church Food Pantry is a food distribution ministry which provides food to any in need resident  of St. Joseph County, Indiana. We are a partner agency of the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. An average of 50 families are served each month.

Qualifications

The only qualification is that you must be a resident of St. Joseph County. Please bring a photo ID. No financial questions are asked. Bring a box or bag to carry food home.

Hours

The Food Pantry is open the 3rd Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Beginning in February of 2021, the Food Pantry will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

What you can do to help

You can support this food ministry by donating food, making a monetary donation or by volunteering your time. Our Food Pantry needs approximately $500 a month, plus your food donations to keep our shelves stocked. Donations may be dropped of at the church Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. or Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Items the Food Pantry always needs

  • Cereal – hot or cold
  • Peanut butter/jelly
  • Boxed meals – Hamburger Helper/ Tuna Helper/ Rice a Roni,ect.
  • Canned meals – soup/stew/chili
  • Canned vegetables and fruits
  • Mac n Cheese
  • Instant Potatoes
  • Noodles
  • Pasta Sauce
  • Spaghetti noodles
  • Canned tuna and chicken
  • Saltine Crackers
  • Bread
  • Milk
  • Personal hygiene items
  • We can also accept frozen goods. Beef, chicken, pork, frozen vegetables.
